For the past two years, managing GOONL!NE has been nothing short of incredible.

It really has been one hell of a ride. Sometimes, it hasn’t been great, but it is a fantastic experience that I have had, and one which I will treasure the most. Especially with staff like James Love, David Pitchforth and Will Swarbrick, plus our fantastic freelance contributors Jennifer Allen and Martin Gaston.

But it is time to give up this position of power for another position of power, abet a slightly less powerful position than here, but still exciting enough.

Reviews on GO – Fully Explained

There is something we havent really discussed here on GOONL!NE. We’ve touched on it, but barely talked abou it.

That is until now. The subject in question being our reviews and what and how we review them.

First off, we’ll be honest. Since the start of GOONL!NE back in January 2008, we’ve had very little lack of review code coming in from publishers due to us being at the bottom of the food chain.

E3 2009: The GOONL!NE Weekly Recap – 1/6 – 7/6 [My Aftermath of E3]

Last week, we went for the Friends type title for the Weekly Recap, this week, we went for a little Scrubs in our headline.

But even then, we dont think JD or Turk could have saved us from the influx of stuff for E3 2009. What a fucking week we had, it was Christmas for gamers, be that as a gamer or a gaming journalist. We’re still doing the recap of course, we just want you caught up on E3 of course, but we’re gonna do it with a slight twist this week.

The GOONL!NE Weekly Recap – 25/5 – 31/5 (The One Before E3)

After 3 weeks gone without a recap due to our lazy arses, The GOONL!NE Weekly Recap is back and just in time for E3. This week, it’s all been about E3 and the run-up to it. Hit the jump to see what’s been going on in the run-in to E3 as it kicks off tomorrow (June 1st).

GOONL!NE’s Top 10 Most Antcipated Games of E3 2009 – Part 1

So, in little over 48 hours time, E3 kicks off with the Microsoft press conference which we ‘ll be covering with a livetext, along with Nintendo, Sony, EA and more, from Monday. But what are the games you should be looking out for all this week as potential games of the show?

Bank Holiday Monday Here on GOONL!NE

It’s a Bank Holiday on GOONL!NE today (May 25th), both in the UK and the US. In the UK, it’s just a standard Bank Holiday but in the US, it’s Memorial Day. Normally, we hate Bank Holiday’s, it drives us mad as fuck, knowing that we aint gonna get any news somewhat, or a lack of therefore, but this one time we welcome it.

E3 is next week and we need to be ready for the influx of stuff thats coming in, so just this one time, Bank Holiday Monday is muchos welcomos. We’re still updating the site today, but not as much as we normally do.  However, to get you ready for E3 next week, GOONL!NE will be posting the top 10 E3 moments of this generation so far from tonight and all this week, ending with a double bill before the Nintendo and Sony conferences next Tuesday.

We’re so excited, we need to calm down today. Sorry.

The GOONL!NE Weekly Recap – 27/4 – 3/5

Hello and welcome, once again, to the GOONL!NE Weekly Recap. Uncharted 2 dominated the headlines this week, it’s mulitplayer was leaked before the weekend even ended but it was announced on Monday with mostly overwhelming success from the first impressions.

And even better, a multiplayer beta is coming to Europe and the US with inFamous, not exclusive to one retailer in the UK as first thought.

Speaking of Sony games, there was a big blowout on Sony games this week from inFamous, Uncharted 2 and even MAG, which was shown at the event for the first time, even playable to journalists there. But we did get new footage of the game and, truth be told, any skeptisim this game may have had is now gone.

But you’ll find after that jump news that wasnt just stuff from Sony’s Gamers Day event. Oh, and did you know we’re hiring?
