The trophies for Zipper Interactive’s MAG have been revealed. There’s a grand total of 38 to collect.

MAG goes gold, Open Beta on the way

Zipper have announced that their colossal 256-player FPS MAG has just gone gold for the US and Asia, with release dates set for January 26th in North America and January 28th in Japan, with the European discs set to go gold within the next few weeks.

Also, from the 4th January MAG will have it’s open beta for everyone to sample. EU users can download it on January 4th, whilst American residents can pre-load it from today.

MAG US Boxart Revealed

Over at the PlayStation Blog, Jeremy Dunham (Community Manager for Zipper Interactive) has unveiled the official US boxart for MAG, along with some interesting tidbits of info from the beta.

MAG Beta Competition

MAG is here! MAG is here! Run screaming from your houses, for MAG is here!

If you haven’t heard, MAG is here. To be specific, the MAG beta, putting upwards of 16,000 players in a 256-man battlefield, has gone live. Not one of those lucky 16,000? We’ve got a treat for you…

We have a MAG Beta key to give away. It’s all we could grab from the clutches of a dying Zipper employee as we escaped their top secret compound, but that’s enough to get you in the game. It’s a dog eat dog world.

Zipper Insist It’d Be “great” if They Did MAG DLC

Speaking at a hands-on event in Dublin earlier tonight, Zipper Creative Director Ed Byrne told GOONL!NE it’d be “great” if they could do DLC for MAG.

Although he did say that after refusing to discuss any plans on the said plans for DLC.

“I can not coment on that. It would be great” said Byrne, when we asked about DLC for the game.

Check Your E-Mails: MAG Beta Keys Sent Out

Like that excited kid on Christmas, if you’re one of the 11,000 in the UK still to get your MAG Beta Code, check your inbox. There should be a little surprise waiting for you…

You can pump it into your system, but you’ll have to spend a good 7 hours downloading some updates, so don’t get too giddy.

GOONL!NE is in Dublin – Why? [Part 2]

GOONL!NE is back in Dublin again after last week’s Microsoft antics. Everything from that event is found here. It’s worth noting that we still have one more article from that event to put up, so stay tuned.

But tonight, we’re going to see Sony about some massive multiplayer game. You might have heard of it, it’s called MAG.

We’re not just here though to go hands on with it. If we wanted that, we would have been crying for beta codes. We’re also here to interview Zipper’s Ed Byrne and ask him your questions as well as ours, and we have so ‘gooduns in there. Thanks again for sending them in.
