Analyst predicts Red Dead Redemption could sell 4 million this year

Analyst Doug Creutz of Cowan and Company is predicting that Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption will sell 4 million copies worldwide in it’s first year.

“Red Dead has been perched at the top of the online retailer best seller lists for several weeks now, and we believe it is poised for breakout success,” he said in a note to investors. “Although this positions Red Dead to be another core franchise for Take-Two, given the time between Rockstar franchise iterations, it is possible we might not see another Red Dead title until the next console cycle.”

RDR launches May 21st in the UK on PS3 and Xbox 360. Rockstar released the launch trailer for the game this week which you can have a peek at here.

  1. PS3 GOD Says:

WHY DO USA ALWAYS GET EVERYTHING FIRST, ITS JUST A SHAME MAN, AN IF I ORDER THIS FROM THE USA WILL IT WORK ON MY PS3 IN THE UK??

    • Yeah, all PS3 games are region free so a US copy would work fine in the UK.

I don’t see why you’d want to import though, the UK version comes out only a mere 3 days after the US one, Friday isn’t that far off 🙂

  2. PS3 GOD Says:
