Guess what we have?
Yip, the E3 trailer for Heavy Rain.
It, surprisngly, wasnt shown at the Sony press conference, which we’re surprised about. Catch the trailer after the jump.
It’s out in 2010.
It’s been a while since the PLAYSTATION 3 recieved a really big firmware, the last one came near the tail end of last year but since then, nothing but that may change thanks to a couple of things.
First, there was rumors circulating around the internet earlier today saying that FW 2.70 went live but only for a short while before Sony pulled it. As well as this, the PSN was acting up in crazyness, it always does when it is Firmware update time.
Soon after, confirmation came thanks to PS3Hype when one of the site’s users clamed that he was through 80% downloading the update when the update suddingly stopped. Said user tried to start the update again but by that time, it was obvious Sony pulled the update.
Finally, further confirmation came late in the evening when a developer told VG247 this:
PS3 Firmware 2.70 definitely this week. Developers got it yesterday.
Sony have not exactly commented on it yet but it wouldnt be fair to bet against an announcement sometime at GDC this week anyways, thats for sure.
Well, this is a new one.
Apparently, according to the cover of the game, Sony Computer Entertainment are publishing The Wheelman for the PLAYSTATION 3 if this is anything yet something is wrong.
Midway were to publish it but handed publishing rights to Ubisoft although Midway keep everything for the IP.
And naturally, there is no SCE logo on the Xbox 360 verison which is also due which makes it all the more bewildering.
Mistake on Midway’s end or even Game’s end who published the boxart?
Anyways, the culprit is after the jump.
Back off the heals of LittleBigPlanet, Media Molecule are obviously glad that they have their game out there at long last.
But they maybe more glad at the news that Sony has offered them a 3 game deal, on the back of LittleBigPlanet, for the PLAYSTATION 3 and have apparently accepted.
While Media Molecule is infact a 3rd party studio and could be gobbled up at any time by any big developer or even Microsoft or Nintendo, GOONL!NE has learnt from sources that this contract could ultimately lead to Media Molecule being brought into the in-house studios of Sony, joining Naughty Dog (Uncharted: Drakes Fortune), Guerrilla Games (Killzone 2) and Zipper Interactive (SOCOM/M.A.G)
Gamespot have posted up a video of the entire English segment of yesterday’s Press Conference by Sony at GC in Leipzig where they announced LittleBigPlanet for October 29th, a 160GB PLAYSTATION 3, a new PSP and unveiled for the very first time Heavy Rain.

What the hell!!!
Has hell frozen over?
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have for once made a decision which has made alot of PS3 owners in Europe very very happy.
In a statement released today, SCEE announced that Insomniac Games next verison of the Ratchet & Clank series will be on sale on the European PS Store from Thursday and Blu-Ray on September 12th. But the kicker is that both verisons will be £10.
Yes…the Blu-Ray Verison is the same price as the PS Store verison, £10.
Press release after the jump but do be warned. If you havent finished Tools of Desruction, there ARE spoilers for the end of the game.
